NEW YORK – Eco-friendly design maven Robin Wilson, founder of Clean Design Home, is focused on designing with hypoallergenic products because she is a lifelong allergy and asthma sufferer.
Wilson founded Clean Design Home with a focus on products that didn’t trigger asthma and allowed for allergen management.
As part of her focus on clean products, Wilson has expanded the brand’s reach to include a collection of allergen-free mattresses. Designed to meet the needs of the nearly 60 million Americans affected by allergies or asthma, the two-model mattress collection joins a lineup of hypoallergenic textiles currently sold at Macy’s.
The Clean Design Home brand was introduced in 2021 with a cotton bedding and bath collection in partnership with WestPoint Home’s Martex line.
Manufactured in the U.S. and made to order, the Rainey Street and Essex mattresses are made with eco-friendly materials, including GOTS-certified cotton and an eco-friendly foam.
“Our mattress launch extends the reach of our Clean Design Home brand,” Wilson said. “Our two lines include our couture Rainey Street and luxury Essex options. This collection will enable us to deliver a complete sleep story with both bedding and mattresses and offers our customers and retail partners another aspect of a hypoallergenic lifestyle.”
The mattresses are layered with woven cotton to wick away moisture and enhance airflow, foam, latex and a coil system. The Rainey Street model includes GOTS-certified wool for temperature regulation. Both models are available in firm, medium or plush comfort levels. Rainey has option has an extra temperature regulator feature made with GOTS-certified wool to adjust body temperature in every season. Both the Rainey Street and the Essex selections are offered in firm, medium or plush comfort levels. Rainey Street retails at $1,600 in queen, and Essex is priced to retail at $1,050 in queen.
